My name is Werner Rehm, and for decades, I - as a partner at McKinsey&Company's Strategy&Corporate Finance practice - have helped large corporations make challenging investment decisions. I help my clients to utilize the tools of valuation and value assessment (DCF, multiples, EP, ROIC, etc) to make better investment decisions when it really matters.
I am now an independent consultant, available for expert advice, guidance, and lectures. My work ranges from "short, "no prep needed" expert call to retainer based engagements.
From 2003 to 2024, I built and later led McKinsey's global corporate valuation expert team. I taught hundreds of consultants the art of DCF, perfomance assessment, and corporate decision making with an eye to shareholder value creation. I have published extensively on the topics of corporate value creation, investor relations, and related issues for over 20 years, and I have taught various MBA classes at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
I am currently engaged part-time at Levine Impact Lab, helping small not-for-profits grow by building businesses that create funds to support their mission.
Here are some examples of my publications over the years
